Phenol CHEMets® Visual Test Kit - 0-1 & 0-12 ppm

Phenol CHEMets® Visual Test Kit allows for accurate detection of phenol and other phenolic compounds in an alkaline solution. With a red colored complex produced in the presence of 4-aminoantipyrine, this chemistry can detect both ortho- and meta-substituted phenols, including those with certain functional groups. 

Results are expressed in ppm (mg/L) “equivalent phenol” as C6H5OH. Because 4-aminoantipyrine reacts with less sensitivity with substituted phenols than with phenol itself, test results represent the minimum concentration of phenolic compounds in the sample.
